You can always use a personal computer to control your animated show but
it's not always practical if you need the PC for other things. Animated Lighting listened to its customers
and created a device just right for what many are looking for. Think of it
as our Monster Brain with lots of buttons so you can tweak your show in real
time and have maximum versatility.
We call it
the Monster Brain PC. It's a dedicated netbook type computer preconfigured with
just the right software so you can plug it into your existing Animated
Lighting data network, turn it on and watch the show. Unlike our standard
Monster Brain, you can start and stop the show via the keyboard, change the show
schedule times and even alter the order of the songs in the show. The
Monster Brain PC is a dedicated small computer just for your show. The
device can also be connected to the Internet to grab the latest information from
Animated Lighting or allow Animated Lighting technicians to take control of
your Monster Brain PC remotely and troubleshoot any problems you might have.
We have started with an off-the-shelf smaller-than-a-laptop with the
following specifications:

We strip off the applications that aren't required for a light show and added our own
Animated Lighting show software. We then configure the system to autostart and
to run your show automatically. We also lock down
the Microsoft Windows XP operating system so it does one thing and one thing well: run your light
display. We do not recommend loading other non Animated Lighting endorsed programs.

The Monster Brain PC has a standard 1/8" stereo audio output jack that can
be plugged directly into your sound amplifier powering your speakers. Many
of our customers plug into our
FM radio transmitter so people can hear the
music directly from their car radios.
The Monster Brain PC is not meant to be outside in the elements. We
include a 50 foot data cable so you can keep the Monster Brain PC inside.
Depending on your environment, the device but can be put in a weather tight enclosure close to your display or
connected wirelessly with our transmitter/receiver
capability.
We have also
made sure the Monster Brain PC has a built in video web camera.
Now If
you are having a problem with the show, you can make sure the
device is connected to the Internet, activate the
webcam and actually show Animated Lighting technicians what's
happening with your display. Now that's high tech!
Included with your Monster Brain PC
are five lighting shows/songs already loaded (pick
your own from our impressive list), a USB-RS485
converter to connect the Monster Brain PC to your existing
Animated Lighting controllers and a 50' foot data cable.
All you need to do is connect the Monster
Brain PC to your controllers, plug it into your speakers and you're good to go.
