Animated Lighting worked with award-winning light designers to bring their vision to life at the Lowes Hotel located in Santa Monica, California. Animated Lighting used their Light Show In A Box (LSIAB) to communicate with DMX-controlled LED-based architectural fixtures located on top of the building and used to light up the facade of the hotel. Additionally, smaller LED-based DMX fixtures are mounted above the walkway and controlled via the LSIAB to create an elegant yet playful entrance to the facility. The entire installation is controlled via a keypad that is connected to Animated Lighting's Monster Brain animation controller (which is part of the LSIAB). Below are a few static pictures of how the project began from a drawing on a napkin to the actual installed fixtures.

Seven different pre-programmed shows are available by just pressing a button.

button 1 = slow show
button 2 = slightly faster show with different sequences
button 3 = faster show with different sequences
button 4 = fastest show with flashing lights, etc
button 5 = turns everything purple (and thus turns all other shows off)
button 6 = color changing on front of building
button 7 = purple color on front of building

All buttons operate in toggle mode. if a show is running and it's button is depressed again it will turn the show off.
