Haunted House in a Box for 2008

The Haunted House In A Box is the ideal way to take a boring Halloween display and give it plenty of action.  Most people don't realize this is really our Christmas In A Box with a Halloween personality. Have the scary sounds for the kids and the songs for the older set for the end of October and use the same hardware to delight the community in December..

Ready for your own Haunted House in a Box?  Find out more information about the Haunted House In A Box at the Animated Lighting website.

32 Channel Synchronized Shows for 2008

Animated Lighting already has over 100 light shows synchronized to music.  They're all based on 16 lighting channels but now we're seeing people asking for 32 channels and up.  No problem.  The show programming staff has been hard at work to help you out.  See the latest of what's available by going to the Animated Lighting lighting shows webpage.

If you want to add any synchronized shows to your 2008 Halloween or Christmas display
(including the new ones above), we will be happy to do this for $35.00 per lighting show/song.

Maestro Version 2

The next generation of Maestro, our show sequencing software, is now in testing.  This is the version allowing you to compile shows and download them to our Monster Brain for standalone operation.  Don't worry though.  Shows your working on now with the current Maestro will work fine on Maestro 2.

Enough of the Dangles! A New Controller

Paul had a meeting with the Installations department to talk about how we can make things easier for our customers this holiday season.  There was the typical grousing about where to place the light control units, bad weather challenges and "I would have never done it that way" stories.  Suddenly Rick blurted out "Get rid of the darn dangles!"  There was silence in the room then everyone started talking at once how awful it could be at times finding cord number nine hanging out of the bottom of an ELC-16 controller.  Seems when it's really dark outside fumbling through 16 possible connectors and then discovering you're folding a six instead of a nine can be frustrating.

The engineering department loves a challenge and pretty soon they redesigned the trusty old LC-16 and gave it onboard Edison plugs.  While they were in there they made the fuses easier to replace, grouped the indicator lights together and simplified the layout.  They even redesigned the entire enclosure so you can lay your cords inside without worrying about fishing them through access holes in the bottom.  This seems so obvious but it took one of those eureka moments to get on the right track.  Say hello to the new LC-16, version 7!  Find out more by going to the Animated Lighting Standard Light Controller webpage.

New versions of DMX Controllers

While our engineers were doing their magic redesigning theLC-16, they figured out a way to make our four and 16 channel light controllers understand the DMX-512 protocol.  We've actually had a native DMX board since 2003, but now with some behind-the-scenes magic, we can make our standard controllers DMX-centric.  If you're a light designer you know buying dimmer packs are expensive and they rely on the lighting console for any intelligence.  In the Animated Lighting DMX controller world, our on-board intelligence takes over most of the workload from the light console.  Even better, our controllers are considerably smaller and cheaper than what you're paying for now.  Interested?  You should be.  Find out more by reading the Animated Lighting DMX Controller webpage.

Megashows for 2008

You've seen the houses where the lights dance to the music.  You know you can buy off-the-shelf, pre-sequenced show tunes directly from Animated Lighting but you want more so you can really impress your viewers. We hear you loud and clear.

Animated Lighting hears from thousands of it's users every year.  Many send us their videos and we're really impressed what they can do with our technology.  Then there are some that send us videos and we stop dead in our tracks.  These aren't shows but carefully choreographed masterpieces that are incredibly creative by lighting professionals.

What do you get with a Megashow?

  • The show designers work with you translating their vision to your venue.

  • A generic spreadsheet with a layout of the lighting channels for the chosen megashow.

  • You provide us with a picture of your home or business and the show designer creates a specific layout adapting their show to your environment showing their various lighting channels and how it should be plugged into their various controllers.

  • An Animated Lighting tech will come to your home or business for one day to help you hook up the controllers to the lights as outlined by the show designer.

What's not included in a megashow package?  You need to already have Animated Lighting light controllers and a Monster Brain to control everything.  You also have to put up the lights, run the wires to the controllers and make sure you have adequate power to drive the lights.

What makes these light designers so special?  They are professionals in their field and have been long time Animated Lighting users.  They understand the product well, know the nuances and have had years to tweak their shows until they are true works of art.  Want to know more?  Visit the Animated Lighting website!
