October 2008

Welcome to the October 2008 issue of THE LIGHTLINE, Animated Lighting's newsletter. .

Haunted House in a Box for 2008, but Hurry!

The Haunted House In A Box is the ideal way to take a boring Halloween display and give it plenty of action.  Most people don't realize this is really our Christmas In A Box with a Halloween personality. Have the scary music for the kids at the end of October and use the same hardware to delight the community in December.

Ready for your own Haunted House in a Box?  Halloween is just a few weeks away.  Find out more information about the Haunted House In A Box at the Animated Lighting website.

More Synchronized Light Shows for 2008

Animated Lighting already has almost 150 light shows synchronized to music of which almost 100 are just for Christmas.  Our show design group is pumping them out faster than we can get them posted on our website.  Checkout the latest at http://www.animatedlighting.com/products/customshowprogramming.asp

If you want to add any synchronized shows to your 2008 Halloween or Christmas display, we will be happy to do this for $35.00 per lighting show/song.  Call us now at 816-941-0400 to order

Maestro Version 2

The next generation of Maestro, our show sequencing software, is now in final testing and it's looking good!.  This is the version allowing you to compile shows and download them to our Monster Brain for standalone operation.  Don't worry though.  Shows you're working on now with the current Maestro will work fine on Maestro 2.

We realize some are wondering if your Animation Director based shows should be moved over to Maestro this season.  It depends.  Many of you have crafted elaborate sequences over the years so it makes sense not to rock the boat and continue using what you have.

Those crafty dudes in engineering are already talking how they want Maestro 3 to have a conversion utility to handle Animation Director shows but admit there's not enough time this year to get it in the product.  That's a subtle way of saying Maestro 3 is a post Christmas 2008 product.

Megashows for 2008, but again, Hurry!

You've seen the houses where the lights dance to the music.  You know you can buy off-the-shelf, pre-sequenced show tunes directly from Animated Lighting but you want more so you can really impress your viewers. We hear you loud and clear.

Animated Lighting hears from thousands of it's users every year.  Many send us their videos and we're really impressed what they can do with our technology.  Then there are some that send us videos and we stop dead in our tracks.  These aren't shows but carefully choreographed masterpieces that are incredibly creative by lighting professionals.

What do you get with a Megashow?

  • The show designers work with you translating their vision to your venue.

  • A generic spreadsheet with a layout of the lighting channels for the chosen megashow.

  • You provide us with a picture of your home or business and the show designer creates a specific layout adapting their show to your environment showing their various lighting channels and how it should be plugged into their various controllers.

  • An Animated Lighting tech will come to your home or business for one day to help you hook up the controllers to the lights as outlined by the show designer.

What's not included in a megashow package?  You need to already have Animated Lighting light controllers and a Monster Brain to control everything.  You also have to put up the lights, run the wires to the controllers and make sure you have adequate power to drive the lights.

What makes these light designers so special?  They are professionals in their field and have been long time Animated Lighting users.  They understand the product well, know the nuances and have had years to tweak their shows until they are true works of art.  Want to know more?  Visit the Animated Lighting website!
