July 2008

Welcome to the July 2008 issue of THE LIGHTLINE, Animated Lighting's newsletter.

Tasked with Creating a Huge and Impressive Christmas Display?  Tap Our Expertise!

So you've been given the responsibility to create an impressive Christmas display for an office building, amusement park or zoo.  Where in the world do you begin?  It's not like you can drive down to the local Christmas shop and get advice.  Do an Internet search and you'll quickly become overwhelmed with too much information.  Frustration is setting in.  Don't panic.

You've missed the obvious.  Start at Animated Lighting.

Animated Lighting's best kept secret is we're the technology behind the dazzling displays you see all around the world.  We work with the top designers and know where to find the latest in Christmas decorations, no matter the size of your venue.  We're sworn to secrecy with many of our clients, but you can get a pretty good idea of our capabilities by looking at our commercial partner showcase.

June was one of our busiest months as large venues are preparing dazzling displays for this year.  Give us a call.  We're here to help.  816-941-0400 or shoot us an email at sales@animatedlighting.com.

Pyramid of Trees

Paul thought the graphic arts department was getting a bit too snarky recently so he sent them to the bowling alley to mellow a bit by throwing big heavy balls at little wooden sticks.  Good move.  They came back talking about stacking Christmas trees in the shape of a ten pin layout and disappeared into one of the warehouses for three days.  When they finally opened the doors we all saw something truly unique.  They called it the Pyramid of Trees.  We saw WOW!

Think ten, two dimensional Christmas trees stacked 4-3-2-1 on the side of your building changing colors and dancing to the music.  It's the Animated Lighting Pyramid of trees.  Check the video at our website.  The ones in the pictures to the left are 16 feet high but our production department says they can make it any size for any facade.  Based on what they've done in the past, we believe them.  Imagine this on the side of your building and all the traffic it will generate.  The graphic guys even thought the Pyramid of Trees would look best on world's tallest building in Dubai.  They're on to something.

You can't help but wonder where Paul will send the artists next.

Tree of Trees

One of our structural engineers came up with an idea called the tree of trees.  Apparently he saw a spiral staircase somewhere and thought it would look really cool to put a little animated 3-D tree on each step.  Everyone around the office gave him that "what in the world are you thinking???" look and pretty much ignored him, except for Paul.

Last week the official Animated Lighting Tree of Trees was unveiled and it's stunning.  Think of those 3-D trees on the spiral staircase but without the staircase.  This is something truly unique and guaranteed to get people's attention when they see it.  They're outdoor rated, can be synchronized to music and look amazing.  Think of several of these Tree of Trees lining the entrance to your venue.  Now that's a Christmas celebration!  Interested in learning more?  Checkout the Tree of Trees webpage or give us a call at 816-941-0400.
