Christmas In A
Box, All in One
Paul stumbled on to a super-secret meeting the
Animated Lighting engineers were having behind one of the warehouses.
"What's up, guys?" After an awkward few seconds with feet
shuffling and anxious stares, Mark finally said "we've got an
idea to make animating light displays really, really simple but
we're still working out the details."
After
four large pizzas and seven of the two liter bottles
of Pepsi, Christmas In A Box, All In One was born. Think of a
computer, MP3 player, 16 channel light controller, FM
transmitter and super simple cord connections all in one box and ready to
take over your light display. In reality it's the latest
generation Monster Brain and LC-16 light controller bundled with
a miniature FM transmitter (with 150 foot range), color coded
plugs, graphics, a video and instructions to make it incredibly
easy to
install. Included are two different show memory chips to
include classic and techno Christmas music as well as
gaps between songs to allow traffic to move. We really are
talking CIAB-All In One. It's the perfect display enhancer
for the professional or serious decorator. See more on the
Christmas In A Box, All In One webpage.
Paul is now keeping a really close eye on the
engineers. Empty Pepsi bottles are everywhere and he's
getting worried, again!

Light Shows for
LED based Replacement Bulbs
We've
all seen the LED bulbs that can replace standard screw in
incandescent C7/C9 versions. Each draws less than one watt
of power, have at least a 30,000 hour lifespan and are made of
plastic so they're almost indestructible. The bad news is
these LED bulbs are designed to be either on or off. Dimming the
LED
bulbs dramatically shorten their lifespan to anywhere
from 1-15,000 hours. We were almost optimistic at least one of the manufacturers
would produce a dimmable LED replacement bulb for 2008 but things aren't
looking good at all. We've been told the dimmable LED
based C7/C9's won't be available in any quantity until 2009.
Obviously, using LED based C7/C9
bulbs dramatically reduce your electrical consumption but how
practical are they for 2008? Very! We have taken one
of our standard show packages that includes Rudolph,
Jingle Bells, Linus and Lucy, It's Beginning to look a Lot like
Christmas and Carol of the Bells, removed all the dimming
effects and optimized everything for LED based C7/C9 bulbs.
Rest assured it looks great and you can brag your display is
very green for the environment. $99.95.
Give us a call at 816-941-0400 if you're interested.
